Let's face it, with the economy in the toilet, most of us are looking for ways to save money these days. I know my house is! With growing toddlers and teenagers, it's not the easiest task to accomplish. We need new shoes about every 60 days. And that's just shoes. Let's not forget about shirts, pants and accessories.
As a parent, I'm always looking to recycle clothing any possible way I can. Being in the clothing business, I've picked up a few tips to help stretch your extremely valuable dollar just a bit further.
1. Leg Warmers! BabyLegs and SkidPants are fantastic! Why? Well, you can buy one pair of them for $12.00, and they can completely change an outfit. You can pair these amazin
g accessories with any child's outfit for a complete change. They can be worn on their arms or their legs for even more versatility! Why throw out those jeans that still fit around the waist but are a little too short? Roll those babies up and add a pair of SkidPants for a completely hip and stylish new look. Still a little too cool outside for short sleeves? Not with BabyLegs! Pull them up over the arms and voila you have one styling kid. These are not just for babies and tots. I have big kids, teens and even moms and dads that love BabyLegs and SkidPants. Dads? Really? Yes! You would be surprised how many studly guys have bought our collegiate SkidPants to wear to games to show their school spirit! But t-shirts are my favorite item to stock our shelves with! I have t-shirts with bling, and t-shirts with humor, and t-shirts with art, and t-shirts with lots of color. 3. The Tutu! Yes, I said it! The tutu can make an outfit go from wee to WHOA in about about 10 seconds! What's not to love about the tutu? Nothing! We have just recently began handcrafting out tutus in house. It was a simple solution, actually. I had gone through a couple of designers that I really liked to design our tutus. Because of pricing and shipping and a few other minor details, we decided we could do our own fabulous tutus ourselves. You know me...I have a unique and crazy style. I want our tutus to reflect not just the sweet ballerina~fairy princess, but make room for our little Funk Rocker Divas! And I absolutley love doing it! The best part is, our prices are incredibly cheap! By taking the middle man out of the equation, we've been able to slash our prices way down. Add one of our tutus to any pair of jeans, or leggings or leg warmers, and you have one hip little princess that will twirl and smile for hours! Whatever your situation is right now, just know that you are not alone! Every American is feeling the strain of the economy. It always helps to know we're in this together!
